ABOUT ME

Since my first introduction to yoga in 1998, I have completed a 500 hour (advanced) teacher training in the classical Hatha yoga tradition at Triyoga in London, as well as many yoga retreats, immersions and CPD courses including prenatal and restorative yoga. I have also completed a two year training in structural, functional and experiential anatomy for movement teachers.

Over the years I have taught teenagers in schools and a diverse range of adults from pregnant women to football players and senior citizens - both one to one and in large groups at festivals, drug rehabilitation centres, corporate offices and in studios and gyms across London and more recently in Lewes.

I believe that as we –  and our circumstances – change, we need to adapt our practice to support our bodies, hearts and minds as best we can. For this reason my own practice and teaching style is fairly fluid and draws from a number of influences, in particular Scaravelli inspired yoga which is grounded in “undoing” holding patterns, of tension, and playful exploration. I have also found the more dynamic Anusara inspired yoga highly rewarding and informative with its emphasis on optimal alignment. When I’m not standing in my head you will find me at an art class or at the cinema!
